Moving on

Starting September this year, I had to put a pause on my PhD commitment and start job hunting. In the past few months, I have come really close to getting an offer from a company only to be passed over at the very final stage.

I have had to deal with imposter syndrome a lot this year. “Am I not even good enough for a junior role?”, “Why am I not getting any call backs?”, “Where did it all go wrong?” Are questions that I battle with every day.

I have had to learn to acknowledge these thoughts, realize that I cannot control such outcomes, and move on. Move on to the next actionable item on my agenda, move on to sending an email to a potential recruiter, move on to sending that LinkedIn request to expand my professional network.
