Empirical Job Hunting

Taking an empirical approach to job hunting.

To increase the chances of getting a callback for an interview for a data scientist position, I analyzed 30 data scientist positions collected from LinkedIn between the period of August - November 2025. I manually read each position and identified the skills mentioned in the posting. I sorted the skills in descending order, with the most frequent skills appearing at the top. I am using this information to first identify gaps in my resume and then pick courses and work on projects to develop those skills.
